As if you traveled in history to be in this majestic place, it is one of the best places and you will definitely enjoy the hidden jewel in the old city

This palace is a must see when in Sidon. Lovingly restored and still lived in, the rooms are furnished beautifully. The eclectic collection of items reflects the real world tastes of the owners. There are only a few palaces left of this quality.

This palace is hidden away in the souk, and is such a surprise. One climbs stairs into a gorgeous sitting room, with a soaring ceiling, most of it cedar, a massive crystal chandelier, a marble fountain, and cases of fascinating musical instruments. There is a staircase that takes one onto the roof, from which one can look down into the souk.
The Brandt guide said that this palace is a gem and shouldn't be missed, and I second that.

Bit disappointed from the Debbane Palace!
It seems that is still evolving: so the ground floor (first floor actually because you go up a steep staircase to access the Palace) is done and impressively interesting with the big chandelier and the Ottoman structure. They were arranging on the terrace for a wedding/party so also some rooms were not available. Then the floor up has an amazing balcony and more terraces to enjoy the views and then the upper floor is not done at all! Anyway is a nice stop and the gift shop has nice things to buy!

After a short flight of stairs you enter a beautifully restored Arab-Ottoman style dar with the classic courtyard in the centre and furnished in a contemporary style to compliment the period it represents.
Well worth a short visit if you're able to fit one in...

Tucked away in the souks of Sidon is this site which is still an ongoing renovation. It definitely had a 'wow factor' as you went from room to room to see the fine sitting areas and furniture of a well to do family of the 18th century. There was even a little brochure card to take, a first so far in Lebanon. It is not a large place but worth the trip up the stairs.

It's a privately owned historical house, open for public. It is well preserved with welcoming staff and future plans to open a coffee house, which would make it a big attraction for tourists staying in the area.

In the middle of the souk (which is quite run down in parts) you would not expect to find such a fine renovated building. Worth going just to get a sense of how things could have been in Beirut.

One of my favorite places in the ancient lovely Sidon, the place is so old and elegant, the man that works there is more than a friendly employee. I love everything about the Palace.

A bit tricky to find but worth the effort. Beautifully restored and s view into what life is happening above the souk.
