This is a lovely spot to visit. Beautiful tea-rooms surrounded by lush gardens and only a short walk from the main house and stables.
You have to try the rosella jam on scones! It is to die for and they won't sell their jars.
What a fabulous house museum this is!! We have been to many (dragging the children along) but this one was exceptional. The many areas of the house still intact, illustrating life as it was in Colonial times for a wealthy and influential family. Our minds...More
Congratulations to Sydney Museums for the excellent museography and displays in this magnificent house. The garden is also splendid. Together with Elizabeth Bay house, Susanna’s Place and Rose Seidler house they offer a great overview of art and architecture in Sydney.
