Beny went above and beyond to make our trip from Maputo to Vilankulos seamless. He picked up my friends and I early in the day and took us safely from our Airbnb to hostel. Not only did Beny drive though, he provided entertainment, history lessons, fun coffee breaks and jokes to break the long car ride off. Once we got to Vilankulos and Beny was “off duty” he stayed with us and made sure we had a locals experience. Most importantly he made a group of 5 college-aged women feel safe.

I’d definitely recommend using Beny for any of his tourism experiences! 5 stars all around.

The Inhambane tour with Beny was the highlight of my time in Mozambique, and there were many of them. Beny is a knowledgeable, experienced and friendly guide, and he ensured we experienced the town's culture with some delicious snacks along the way. We learned much about the place and its history, but Beny's care and dedication stood out. It’s rare to find a tour guide who cares about what they do, and spending time with Beny felt more like hanging out with a dear friend than a tour guide.
I cannot recommend Smile and Beny enough.
Obrigado pelo carinho Benny, we’ll be back.

Beny is a fantastic and helpful guide, and a very good driver.
I did the sunset trip to the red dunes in Vilankulo with him, it was well organised and amazing. He knows some local craftmens, ideal to find a good souvenir and help the community.

Beny was an absolutely superb guide for us for our walking tour of Inhambane. He is really friendly, very knowledgeable, funny, has excellent English skills and seemed to know everyone. Definitely one of the best (and best value) tours I’ve had in Mozambique.

Beny is an excellent guide who knows his country very well. He knew exactly what we were looking for and managed to tailor a perfect vacation for us. Cultural experiences, local food, animals and the most unthinkable, beautiful places. Most memorable and valuable is his fantastic presence. 12/10, highly recommendable ! Thanks again Beny😊

Beny was a great tour guide for my group’s trip from Maputo to Vilankulos! He was super accommodating and entertaining throughout the weekend. Even when he was off-duty, he helped us get around town and answered any questions we had. 10/10 experience, would recommend if you are looking for a private trip through Mozambique.

Beny gave our group of friends (one Mozambican, one Spanish, three Germans) an English guided walking tour in Inhambane. We went to lots of interesting places including the old train station, university, museum, Casa da Cultura, and the local market. I'm happy that we booked the tour because we wouldn't have found most sights on our own (some are tucked away in back streets). Beny gave us the historical context and interesting facts that really helped me to understand the significance of the places we visited. I especially appreciated the information regarding the history of the socialist People's Republic of Mozambique and its relations with the Soviet Union and the German Democratic Republic. Learning about the traditional instruments, such as Timbila, which play a huge role in traditional and contemporary Mozambican music was also very interesting.

After the main part of the tour we went to the market for a traditional, down-to-earth lunch, which was delicious. Afterwards Beny helped us to shop for spices at the market, also a great experience which I definitely recommend.
Even now, about 6 months later, I can definitely say that this day in Inhambane was one of the highlights of our holidays in Mozambique.

Before we left Inhambane, Beny arranged our bus transport (for two people) from Tofo to Mbombela (aka Nelspruit; South Africa) via Maputo. This was a bit tricky, as the bus station in Maputo where national buses arrive is different from the one for international departures. I'm glad that he arranged this for us in advance; when we arrived in Maputo there was already a taxi waiting for us to bring us to the correct bus station so we were able to catch our bus to South Africa.

Would definitely book a tour and other services from Smile Mozambique again for my next holidays!
