Not that we have any experience of them, but one might imagine a hunting lodge to be a rather functional building. Not so with Stupenigi. It is a fabulous Baroque palace that was constructed to impress. It was the setting for much more than the...More

The place is beautiful, really worth to be seen, also in the night, when the lights are on. You can go inside and see the inside, a lot of rooms is furnished and in a good shape.

If time permits, visit the royal hunting lodge Stupinigi. If you only have time for one, then I would choose Venaria over Stupinigi. Stupinigi was the royal hunting lodge favored by the Savoys, Napoleon and Madame Borghese. Because it was a hunting lodge, it has...More

Having been dropped off by the Turin Tour Bus we found ourselves in the middle of nowhere with nothing open, no facilities, water etc with only the 'ladies of the night' for company. The view we could see from the front gates looks very impressive,...More

The so called Palazzina di caccia di Stupinigi is a royal palace located just outside Torino. It was designed by Filippo Juvarra and it is possible to visit the palace even if it is undergoing a major restoration. A little bit expensive but here you...More

When we reached Stupinigi, we could not find any dedicated parking space for the Palazzina. We recognized it right away because of the enormous deer statue on top of it. Finally, we decided to park in front of some old buildings where other visitors also...More

The parking is in front of the entrance. It is not exclusive to the visitors of the Palazzina but recently the city of Nichelino installed cameras to make it safer.
