Ireland trip
Dec 2019
My last visit to Ireland I spent a couople of nights with my cousin and we finished a bottle of Jameson. This trip I decided to repay him by bringing a bottle with me. I stopped into the Duty Free store at Lindbergh terminal and found just the right bottle to bring to Ireland. Friendly service and my package awaited me at the gate.

Worst customer service

I walked in the store to buy liquor and perfume , and waited 10 min for someone to assist me . I then saw a lady with the name of Betty shashebo doing anything but standing on the register . I apologized and asked if I can get an assistance but didn’t even bother to come not call someone else but ignored me . I then had to leave cuz my flight was about to depart ...... I just chose an item and went to her again to pay for it .... I asked if she can deferentiate the difference between tax free and the 10% off...... and she said you can’t buy liquor for domestic flight and snatched thae wine from me ... the thing is I was flying international to Canada but didn’t even hesistate to be nice and ask me . I always buy from duty free Because I travel every week and this is the first time flying through MSP and was the worst experience I had in my entire life . I don’t think she is a good fit for the company at all.

Terrible prices
May 2018 • Solo
Once upon a time you could go to the duty free shop at an airport and get a really good deal on liquor to take home. No longer.

Prices here are actually HIGHER than local liquor stores. 1L of JW Black is $40 vs $29.99 at the local Total Wine. I checked several Scotches and all were more expensive.

They do have deals like “30% off a second bottle” but if you are travelling solo you will have to pay duty on that second bottle - so why offer it like that.

Sunglasses are cheaper at the SunglassHut right down the mall too.

Skip this place.
