We were looking forward to this visit to Heraion after spending time at the beautiful lake of Voulgamenti near Loutraki. It is certainly worth the trip, you follow the signs up from the lake & there is a small car park (only accessible by car)....More

Mentioned by Strabo and Pausanias, the Heraion at Perachora gave up it's secrets in 1929, when excavated by Humfry Payne, director of the British School of Archaeology in Athens. After 4 seasons at the site he had uncovered one of the richest hoards of artifacts...More

A place with archaeological interest and a small beautiful beach!It is really special to walk and swim around the ancient marbles of the temple of goddess Hera.

Great place to visit if your near Korinthos.Its about 20 kms from Korinthos.Head towards Loutraki and keep following the coast.Its on the point near Ireon.Its a little cove which is full of cats and an interesting Archaeological site.You can climb up and around the cliffs...More

Quite big and reasonably well explained area with Heraion, cysterns in use until Roman times. Small beach (snorkling around the rocks - there's actually fish there), lighthouse, and sheltered view up on the cape. Good place to let kids explore.
