What an unusual set up for a beach area. The swimming portion is completely enclosed with made the water calm even though Lake Timiskiming was choppy. Such a well kept and tidy beachfront.

Great Beach. Excellent slide. Filtered clean lake water. No worry about 'the itch' here. Well maintained an asset to Haileybury and Temiskaming Shores. Nothing else locally compares if it's waterfront fun you need for the kids. Adults who don't want to be covered in red splotches, as sometimes happens elsewhere in the city, will prefer this location too.

Nice park nearby, lots of fun for the little ones, huge water slide for free, lots of lifeguards on weekends, great stop in for an hour to burn some energy

Never experienced so many rules!! I wondered why the beach was empty on such a scorcher of day. It didn't take long to realize why. Literally the minute the lifeguards came out they started telling everybody what they are not allowed to do and kept following it up with its the by-law. Few things to keep in mind if you plan on heading to this beach. No floaties of any kind. This includes water wings. With this being said, the beach does provide life jackets. However, my neice isn't comfortable in a life jackets and prefers water wings but they would not budge, even though I was in the water with her. There is no jumping backwards of the docks or doing 360's of the docks, absolutely no touching of the bouy ropes. Other then the constant whistles and yelling from the lifeguards and over abundance of rules the view and location are great!

The beach is clean a good place to take the kids. It is never crazy busy. There is a snack bar. The water is treated. The lake is filled with pesticides from all the farms. The water slide is fun not to tall.

This enclosed lakefront pool is fantastic. The lake gets quite rough on some days, so the City built an enclosed beach area to keep out the waves, but also treats the water like a pool.
There is a 150 foot waterslide that is offered free of charge to those who wish to try it as well as plenty of sandy beach, a raft, playgrounds, picnic tables, and public washrooms. It is also located right next door to the municipal marina, so boaters can walk over for a swim.
There are lifeguards on duty for most of the day

The lakefront has had a lot of effort put into making it an attractive area to walk around and enjoy! Interesting information of the past events and fire tragedy in 1922.
