The bridge is very pretty lit up at night, red-white-and blue lights. It is a bit scary when the sirens went off as a boat was heading under a bridge there. Thought there was a tornado or something happening. The place was eerily deserted as there is very limited vehicles allowed to go to Canada.

Had a great time visiting Sault Sainte Marie. The bridge is beautiful. The city is quint and everyone is so friendly. Be sure to visit Fudge Du Locke the customer service is extraordinary. The locks are a must see too.

This bridge takes you to and from Canada in Sault Ste Marie Michigan and Ontario. Our crossing went without a hitch. There is a charge but it was low. You do need a passport to cross the bridge. There is a duty free store as well. The border crossing agents were very nice and helpful.

An impressive bridge for sure, and you get the best views on the US side from the Soo Locks Boat Tour. On the Canadian side, the best view is from the area near the Delta Hotel.

Make sure to see the bridge illuminated at night, too. The big arch on the U.S. side is lit up in red, white, and blue, and the big arch on the Canadian side is lit up in red and white, like each nation's flag. Very cool.

It's fun crossing the St. Mary's bridge, I think. When approaching the Canadian side, you can really get a birds eye view of the St. Mary's falls, and the trails that run through the Whitefish island Indian reserve park and the Saulte Saint Marie Canal national historic site. The Canadian side port of entry had some construction going on the last time we went through, but there were no back ups. All of the border agents on both the Canadian side and the US sides are very professional and polite.

I always enjoy the trip across the bridge, looking out over the locks and watching the ship loll down the river

We usually head over to Canada for the day, and the bridge is a quick way to get there. There is a currency exchange after customs, and a visitor's center just across the street. The staff there is very helpful.

We crossed over the bridge on a short day trip up the East side of Lake Superior. From the bridge you get a Birdseye view of the Soo Locks and the rapids that made them necessary. Warning: You will need a passport or enhanced driver's license to get back into the US.

The international bridge joins Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan with Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. It is easily accessible from the US side from I-75. Be sure to have a valid passport or Nexus card to go across the bridge as you have to clear customs regardless of which way you are traveling. Interesting vistas of the world-famous Soo Locks, and if there are freighters in the locks or in the Upper St. Marys River, you're in for a real treat.

We were pleased that our crossing was headache free. Using our passport cards made it possible for us to zip through on our way to Canada for the day.
