We visited in the afternoon when the main production line was quiet but the exhibition and videos showed what happens very well. Good opportunity for tasting and purchases at the end.

The tour was very informative and went through the processes of cheese making. The best part was being able to see the factory floor where the cheese was actually being made. You could see from milk to moulding. Fascinating stuff. At the end, the shop...More

We visited Livarot and the Graindorge cheese factory for the 3rd time today. The factory tour is always a delight but the real treat comes at the end where a visit to their shop and sampling the many wonderful cheeses is a must. And then...More

Looking for something to do in Livarot then look no further, an excellent tour explaining the entire cheese-making process from beginning to end. Wonderful cheese free samples too, we found it impossible to not take some boxes home!

The visit is free and the panels and videos are translated to English. I could also watch some of the actual work going on the production line. However, I expected someone to actually talk to and ask questions about the cheese and processes. There were...More

Very informative and interesting self guided tour covering all stages of cheese production. It includes videos, in addition to windows overlooking the machines, so you are able to watch cheese actually being made. Free samples of cheese in gift shop at end of tour.

A self-guided tour around a cheese factory, with interesting displays too illustrating the context and history of local cheese production. Excellent gift shop. For a free attraction, this provides a good hour or so of interest and a flavour (ba-dum!) of local culture!
