This visit was really disappointing! First we have to wait for the visit and nothing is done to distract us while waiting. Then we visited two caves. Sometimes you will have the same guide, if not, in both caves you hear the same stuff, which...More

Decided to visit the grottes as a change from the numerous chateaux in the ,area, and very glad we did, such an interesting place. Our tour guide, although she had to do her explanation in French, was very willing to answer any questions we had...More

It was ok but not as impressive as suggested by the literature . Very slippy in places so wouldn't recommend to very old or very young

Visited with a large family group. We all really enjoyed it.Lovely to walk round and not worry about the being told not to touch. Very reasonable entrance price. One of our party was pregnant and she had no issue walking round even in flip-flops

I found this place looking for prehistorical caves to visit. It's a small place right beside Chateau de Villandry. I love geology and understanding how things were created. This turned out to be a really good place to visit before seeing the Loire castles as...More

Extremely interesting guided tour led by an enthusiastic lady. I enjoyed the visit but very slippery or uneven grounds in some parts. Could be safer.

Took the tour and while not huge it's nice to go underground in the summer heat. This is a great outing near the Villandry castle and fun for kids. Granted it's not Lascaux...

Two caves and an interesting new skill (petrification) learned about. Slippery at points...don't wear flip flops (like I did)! Models a little 'off' but kids enjoyed. We got the tour in English as the only visitors...It is usually French with an English translation sheet.

Now I have visited a number of Caves in the US. All were reasonably easy to traverse without danger to the patrons with the walkways paved so as to be smooth enough for just about anyone to handle. However, these grottoes at this location in...More
