You can only see these from the water, so take the cruise to the Pictured Rocks area and enjoy the falls. We surely did. This is an awesome area of the country worth seeing if you are driving or passing thru the UP of MI.

We did the Pictured Rocks Spray Falls Cruise, which turns around at the falls. It was absolutely beautiful in the evening sun. It was the perfect light to take pictures of it. It is quite the site to see too. In those parts, the vast majority of the falls are inland, so to see one that tall pouring into Lake Superior was really cool.

My husband & I saw the Spray Falls while on the Pictured Rock Cruise (it costs a bit more if you want to add these falls to your cruise). We thought it was worth the extra money. They're beautiful! The narrator told us that ice forms in the winter but water runs inside.

But the falls are hardly worth it. My point being... Hike for the beauty, serenity, and pleasure of the trail, the forest, and the lake. If you hike with the idea of seeing a beautiful waterfall, you'll be disappointed.

Viewed this falls from the Pictured Rock Cruise catamaran. This falls had the highest volume of water going over it so was in some ways the most impressive and higher drop.

What a great place to stop and explore. Enjoy the scenery, the trails and the fascinating pictured rocks. Plan tp spend enough time to fully appreciate all there is to see.

If you are interested in hiking to this waterfall there are two ways. You can get to it through Beaver Basin wilderness trail, or you can hike to Chapel Rock and jump on the North Country Scenic trail. It is 1.7 miles from there (and 1.7 miles back, of course). It is a beautiful hike!

For the average person, the easiest way to see it is from the Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise. This costs a little extra but is worth it if you are a serious waterfaller (skip the cost if you are not). Otherwise, the only way to see them is a backcountry hiking trip or a kayak excursion.

Beautiful place to have a wedding lots of hiking and waterfalls not much else to do in late summer. I suggest rip Tide ride. Well worth the ticket price. Super fun and views only seen from this type of boat. Other companies don't have the boat needed to go where captain Tim can take u.

We decided to add this site to our Pictured Rocks cruise. It is just a short distance above the regular cruise, but it is worth seeing.
