This is worth a brief stop (30-45 mins) to read about the area, history and get some perspective on Pictured Rocks. There are a few hands-on type exhibits.

Very informative museum about the Munising and Pictured Rocks area. The history of the town is explained. A park attendant is there to answer any questions you might have about hiking trails, etc.

They had a gift shop, info on the history of the area & a ranger to help you decide what to see & how to get there. This had something for everyone.

So glad we went here. Easy to find, right on main road. Very informative on the area. Beautiful photography of Pictures Rocks displayed. Helpful employees. Good selection of souvenirs at fair prices. Glad we stopped in.

Stop by the center to view the film and talk with a park ranger. We found both informative and helpful. There is also a small gift shop.
