Situated near the Buddha statue, this place gives you the flavor of Japanese culture in the North Indian heartland.

The monastery is peaceful and soothing. It runs a school also for local children. The garden around the back side is a peaceful place to spend some time. The main meditation hall is big and magnificent.

This is a really lovely temple inside and out on it's own, but the free formal Zazen meditation was beautiful.

Understated and simple. Shows a very nice summary of the life of Buddha in lovely understated paintings circling the walls inside. Starts with the Buddha's mother dreaming of white elephant, goes through scenes in Buddha's life like childhood, renunciation, meditation, enlightenment, teaching, death .

It was not mentioned anywhere, and I did not take any guide either, nor asked the monk there. It’s a tranquil place with natural gardens around it, runs a school for local children and of course allows people to pray sitting... More
