About The Big Swing
Big Swing and Zipline @ Graskop Gorge Lift Centre The Big Swing has been incorporated into Graskop Gorge Adventure Hub, which is also home to the innovative Graskop viewing lift. Big Swing The Big Swing offers and adrenaline rush like no other! The experience is very different to a bungee-jump, because you are strapped in an upright position, in a full safety harness. Being upright enables you to enjoy the Graskop Gorge’s magnificent views… If you can keep your eyes open as you freefall 70 metres, at 140km/h, in under three seconds. If you need to hold someone’s hand when you jump, you can choose the tandem option. Once your heart has stopped racing after the jump, you can immerse yourself further in the gorge’s spectacular scenery, waterfall and forest, as you climb over 400 stairs back to the top. Zipline Those who still want to get their heart racing, but think that the Big Swing is too extreme, can fly across the gorge on a 130-metre high-wire zipline.

Beautiful views and daring ride on the big swing . Definitely not for the faint hearted with the best flora and waterfall. A must visit for travelers as the best of Mpulamanga

My partner and I did the Big Swing individually as they are not offering tandem jumps during covid. Whilst we were nervous to be jumping off a cliff it turned out to be so amazing and I cant wait to do it again! Definitely a thrill for beginner "jumpers" maybe less so for experienced people that have done bigger swings or bungy jumps but the view is awesome none the less. The staff were friendly and informative, the process was easily understandable and simple to follow. The staff that get you all geared up in the harnesses know what they are doing and have all done the jump themselves. The instructor that "throws" you off the cliff explains clearly that you are to hold the rope and shows you how. If you let go of the rope especially during the free fall then you will more than likely suffer injuries and have a bad experience so do as told and don't let go of the rope! Overall this was a great day out and an awesome experience.

We did the tandem swing.... twice! Not sure how to describe it, it's not a bungy jump , but it's more than a swing. The equipment is well maintained and the briefing good. Enjoy!

My Fiancé and myself visited this Swing in the hopes to swing and be filled with adrenaline before ending off our day in Mpumalanga. We both hurt our necks from the Whiplash on the way down and both had severe neck and back pain after “swinging”. The people who run the Swing are not at all organised and did not explain anything about the jump to us, we had to ask a ton of questions before we actually knew what everything was about. No signage is up at the place of where to stand or sit or where to wait to be fitted into our harnesses. When we were eventually fitted into the harnesses, we were just told we were next to swing. Nothing was explained of how to keep your head and neck as upright and tight, as possible whiplash may take place. No one sat the group of people flocking around not knowing where to sit or stand while waiting down and explained what the process was or what to expect. It was probably not wise of us to still swing, but this is not our field speciality and assume the people who run this swing know better than what we do. It is their “expertise”, so we thought. My Fiancé was taken to casualties after the jump for scans which cost a fortune and I was in pain as well. My Fiancé has to take off work for a few days as the doctor said he suffered an injury which is similar to a car accident. All in all, a very dangerous swing, utterly ridiculous and poor management. We are very disappointed and will NOT recommend anyone going on this, especially children. It is not a “swing” it is only a “Fall, Snap” and hurt.
