About
Voss Gondol is the largest and most modern mountain gondola in Northern Europe. It brings you from 56 to 818 MASL in less than 9 minutes. During the gondola ride, you will be overlooking Voss town center and the Vangsvatnet lake, and get a panoramic view of the many mountains surrounding Voss. At the top, you find scenic walks and Voss' largest restaurant (with homemade, local food). Welcome!

    An excellent trip
It isn’t often when you research an activity and it matches expectations. This, however exceeded all of our expectations. The purchasing of tickets was easy at the visitor centre next to the train station (as is the cable car). We got a gondola to ourselves and the trip up the mountain is amazing. Pick a day when the weather is clear, the views are wonderful. There are plenty of trails to follow, if you wish a bit of solitude, and a cafe that serves basic fayre. I think this would be great in all seasons

If you enjoy Mountain Views and have the cash, go up!
Awesome view and great number of walking routes. The routes aren’t that well marked along the way though, making it sometimes hard to follow the paths. Worth making the trip just for the views alone, have to like hiking though (During august and no snow). Ride is a bit on the Norwegian side of pricy, with 20 euro a person one way, so around 80 in total for us two. Pictures ended up good enough to be printed on the walls at home so worth the investment. If you can spare the cash, I highly recommend.

    Nice place
Nice view going up & returning back of Voss. Some small walkways at the top which do provide fabulous overlooks. Smooth ride & not too busy when we undertook the ride up & back late afternoon.

The Voss Gondola provides an excellent view over the city of Vossevangen. We had no cloudy weather at all, so we could see everything from miles away! If you want, you can even take your bike with you. The ride is very smooth and, as a person with a bit of fear of heights, I did not had any trouble at all.

The price of the gondola can be a bit steep though, but there are many kinds of tickets that you can purchase. The price is worth it, as the top has a great restaurant.

We used the gondola for transport to ski so the view was a little cloudy in the winter time but the trip was smooth and comfortable. We were never crowded and all of the process was clear, simple and autonomous. Luckily the cost of the gondola was included in our lift ticket, otherwise it is a bit expensive. The facility at the bottom of the mountain in Voss Station is spotless and is connected to a nice tourist center. The top is a lovely resort so make sure to plan to spend some time here and enjoy a meal, snack or drink.

The gondola rose through a beautiful snowy landscape. The bottom station was conveniently located right by the rail station. This gondola takes you strait to the ski resort. With gondola tickets, you can ride the ski lifts for free.

We so enjoyed this place! The gondola system is brand new and designed and constructed by Norwegian companies. The ride to the summit is spectacular, with incredible 360 degree views. At the top, you will be treated to amazing views, a good restaurant, hiking trails and a biking area. A great way to spend a few hours in Voss!

It was an exceptionally great experience at the reception/station desk at Voss Gondol bane to meet a member of staff , his name is Steinar. Steinar has a lot of knowledge about his work. I have never been in one of the Gondol before and Steinar was extremeøy helpful to explain what its like to sit in one and what happens on the way up and down. Steinar was very sumpatetic, shown a lot of respect, especially to one who has never been on the gondol before. He was very kind, reassuring, and honest with us as customers. There was another staff upstairs was a man, he too was very helpful. Steinar deserves a gold medal! He is a good ambassadør for Voss Gondol bane.

Even though I’m afraid of heights I could not pass up on getting an amazing view of the entire area. The snow and mountains was unreal. Would most certainly come back

Even if extremely high price, this is worth the trip up to beautiful mountain top and great views. Very well planned with walking rounds and vista points, and a great start for further and longer hikes into the mountains
