We took our grandkids to the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center for the afternoon. It was easy to get to and parking was close and easy. We all had a great time.

My boys loved to ride the ATV, bike, and snowmobile (in front of movie screens). Climbing in faux trees and walking across a swinging bridge was also fun. Did it all in an hour. They also had a big cotton ball snowball fight.

We visited on a cold rainy day. Was a great inside adventure though! Great for preschoolers, preteens and tweens. Tree to climb, interesting displays, interactive “adventures” including kayaking, snowmobiling, four wheeling, fishing and more! We arrived right at opening on Sunday and spent at least...More

We have 3 boys ages 18, 15 and 12. They had a great time with all the experiences from "catching" a salmon to "riding" a 4-wheeler. MDNR did a fabulous job making this a fun family place. We spent about an hour and a half....More

We left on a rainy day but by the time we made it to Detroit it cleared up. Nevertheless we enjoyed the visit to the artificial outdoors although we are not children (2-nd childhood ?)

Great place for families and so inexpensive! $5 for adults and $3 for kids. You can even take your lunch and eat in. Hands on experiences and special events are listed in their web site. DRN outdid themselves with this attraction right in the city!

This place is so much fun and you can learn so much about nature in Michigan. There are interactive exhibits that are fun for everyone, not just kids. I had a great time exploring and learning more about Michigan.

This is a great place to take kids. We took two 9 yr olds and they really enjoyed it. There is a snowmobile & an ATV to "ride" while watching a screen that moves along a trail up north. There is a "tree" to climb...More

I have brought many children here as a social worker over the last few years. It's a very fun, interactive place where they learn while they play. Worth a trip with the kiddos.

Parking in on site next to the building. There is also an open overflow lot last time we went we did not have to park there. I have not had to pay for parking when we visited.
