A stop along the canal is always great. Just enjoy watching the water and the boats. If you have not stopped be sure to make a point to do so.

I never knew this was there until I saw it on a map. The visitor center is very informative and shows the history of the canal. Lots of parking and areas to walk along the canal and watch the boats go through.

The canal was man-made, but the beauty is that of mother nature. It is a great place to take a bike with a biking trail along the whole canal on both sides.

Very nice place to take a walk along the canal. You can walk to the mouth of the canal on the bay side of the cape. Dogs are allowed. There are restrooms that are clean.
