5 years ago we set our sights on opening a brewery, the big question was where? After giving it a tremendous amount of thought, we landed on the place we have all called home at one point or another – Cape Cod. Beer has been in our blood whether it was selling it, marketing it, making it or drinking it. To us, there is no better place to enjoy a cold one than on the shores of the most picturesque place on the planet. After forming the concept, we had one challenge – coming up with a name. It needed to be something that had a direct connection to our town, the lower Cape and the sea. After a paddleboard trip to the uninhabited Hog Island we knew we had found the place. Hog Island Located on Little Pleasant Bay in Orleans overlooks our famed Nauset Beach and the dune shacks that dot her coastline. It’s rumored that Captain Kidd buried treasure on the island, many have attempted to locate it – we feel we found it. Cheers to liquid treasure!

The beer choices are all good. A place for adults and games for the kids. Both inside and outside places to eat. The food selection is limited but good. The was a live band. Just a fun place to be for a couple of hours.

Picked up a growler full of pig pen pharmhouse. $25 for 64 oz with tip. Nothing distinctive or worth it. Tried a couple of swigs of three others. There are alternatives a bit father away that are much better. I think they take adavatage if...More

We rode our bikes over to Hog Island as it is only a block from the bike path. The beer was fresh and tasty. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to order lunch and had a great lobster roll. There were many families there...More

We stopped here to grab a growler of the local brew. The building is large and laid out well. Lots of space. We purchased a growler of the far out stout. It was good. Would recommend a stop and enjoy at this place.

I'm not a beer fan, so I cannot judge their brews. The food, however, I can tell you is salty, salty, salty. Every item we had, including the pizza, was too salty. The soft pretzel, which by definition is salted, was okay. This is a...More
