Who wouldn’t love a white sandy beach on the New England shoreline? It was beautiful, sunny blue skies and only one other person there at the time(I was early October). There is no better place to feel the power of the sea and the magnificent...More

A short stop when driving through area, pulled up at JFK and veteran memorials then down to a sandy beach with some good views and a few shells for beach-combing.

The parking was fantastic (and free). The beach was well kept. I never saw any trash at all! The signage was very clear about where the swimming area versus the wind surfing area were. I was surprised by the amount of seaweed and shells on...More

I did not want to have to pay $20.00 to park, it was too hot to be in the sun all day, I drove in around 4:00 pm and did not have to pay, the snack bar was still open.

Clean calm water. Bring water shoes if you or your kids are sensitive to rocky/Shelly beach sand. Nice snack bar. Good variety of food. No alcohol served. Has a bathroom and outdoor shower.

First timer, it was amazing, loved the white sand and clear water. It was a quiet beach, even with the people. More like a revered beach. Loved the scenery and atmosphere.

I love Kalmus beach. It is never crowded and so relaxing. However, I have to swim at beach! If you catch Kalmus on a good day the water is beautiful, warm but not too warm and salty. On a bad day, water is too warm...More

The beach was clean, and because it was windy and overcast, it was empty. Lots of seaweed but no surprise. Large beach, great for shells.

It's not a huge parking lot. I would say early in the day too ensure a spot! We were at a local hotel so we walked there.

No. Please keep in mind that the beach is fairly small and is set among private houses and beachfront and rented cottages. Although it is a great place to collect shells and see the sunrise and sunset I have to rate it... More
