Our group of retired couples thoroughly enjoyed this visit. It is in the buildings of a former iron works, making incredible tools from early 1800s until times changes and factories moved South etc. You really see how things were then. The exhibits were not flashy...More

They paint a true picture of what was happening in the area during those times. They have a wealth of knowledge and can answer any question posed. 1 hour should be long enough to plan for a visit.

This old mill building tells the story of industrial history in a very visceral way, with views of the water, great displays, and a whole room full of tools you can use (with supervision, of course).

It was a great tour by two wonderful and very knowledgeable museum staff. They were informative and even let me try different tools. The staff taught me how to make screws and bolts with the tap and die machine.
