This is a vast outdoor museum that is self guided. Great expanses of land, boats and buildings. The problem we had is the lack of signage, direction or really information. We wandered from area to area, never quite sure what we were looking at. There...More

My wife and I spent about 6 hours over 2 days at this museum. I brought back many memories of boating on the Chesapeake when young. The exhibits were great and informative.

I love going to the lighthouse. Kids love the crabs and pulling the crab pots at the dock. All ages will enjoy the tour of the lighthouse. Tour the lighthouse, watch a boat being built, visit all the exhibits. Great way to spend a day.

A beautiful site on the Chesapeake Bay to learn through interactive exhibits about life on the Chesapeake. So much to see - we didn't leave enough time to do it all. But we especially loved the lighthouse and watching the shipbuilders at work. We want...More

We spent a lot of time at this museum. There’s a lot of information and location on the water adds to the experience. A added bonus is the admission is for 2 days so there’s no need to hurry through

This has been in my bucket list for awhile. I’m so glad I finally visited. What a gem. There is so much more than meets the eye because the campus is really hidden from sight. There is a building where you can watch shipbuilders at...More

This indoor/outdoor museum has a lighthouse, a number of classic boats including a Skipjack - and very educational exhibits. Great for kids as well.
