Small old custom house in Oxford near the ferry. Well maintained, and a neat piece of history. Takes all of two minutes to visit, but it is cool for sure.

As others have said, the building was locked when we were in town. It's well kept on the outside, and it gives you an idea of how the scale of life has changed in the US. This is a customs house, but it's smaller than...More

Thought to be the first US Customs House. Well kept. It was not open to the public when we were there. Worth a look if near the ferry in Oxford.

Walked by to take pictures but it was not open. Sign says 5am to 5 pm but was not open when we were there. Cute little house!

The photo captures it all. It is usually closed but charming for the 60 seconds or so you stare at it. It is part of a stroll around town which is in fact a very nice thing to do.

Nothing much to contribute. The door was locked. The house is small and quaint. It was a walk away from where we stayed. It looked clean on the outside.

One walk inside and you can imagine just how business was run in Oxford in its early heyday. This small but perfectly proportioned business center shows how trade was run nearly 300 years ago. Quaint, efficient and effective.

The little building is a cute replica of the original customs house. The exterior is charming. However, it is very rarely open. Besides that, the original building was across the river. It really would be better used as a tourism center or ferry boat ticket...More
