I would not go out of my way to go to the beach here! The boardwalk, pier and whole atmosphere in the area is nice for an afternoon. If you are used to Ocean City or Atlantic City, this place is way tiny by comparison....More

North Beach is a small town on the Chesapeake Bay with a small patch of sand.. It has it's charms; some good restaurants, a small museum about North Beach's history, a shopping area with antique shops and some art galleries were local artists display and...More

This little town reminded me of Abbeville where Julia Roberts moved to in Sleeping with the Enemy. It was a homey, laid back, place. Enjoyed sitting on the pier talking to the locals and walking through the farmer's market. A nice little beach area -...More

This beach is clean and really good for families with small kids. It has free parking, great sand for building, and good clean bathrooms. There are virtually no waves, which could be nice for kids (it was for mine) or disappointing for those of us...More

I am a Calvert county resident and I always take out of town visitors here for an afternoon / early evening. It never disappoints!

If you’re expecting something fancy and spacious, this is not it. If you want a simple day trip on a neighborhood beach this may work for you. I needed to be on some sand and near water and this almost did the trick. It’s bay...More

The beach requires a payment per person to enter. It is a small beach with a boardwalk. The boardwalk is free to walk on. It seems a good place to bring the family and enjoy a quiet. Not busy like Ocean City, but it is...More

This place is absurd. A complete waste of time & money and not worth the drive. Apparently, you can own the ocean and charge people $17 to even step foot on the sand. They didn’t even offer an hourly charge, it was all or nothing....More

I took a group of 10 youth from a local Air Force Base. The people at the counter were very friendly and gave us a military discount. We got there early and were able to get an area to ourselves for most of the day....More

My family was just passing through and headed back home to Oklahoma when we stopped to see the Atlantic for the first time. We just wanted to stick our feet in the water and snap a couple of pics. We were not allowed to without...More

They were about $18 per person. In my mind, very expensive for what you get. We stayed on the boardwalk and didn't pay to venture down to the beach.

I agree 100%. What a great way to drive people away from your area! We just walked the boardwalk and enjoyed the shops, etc.
