- Ethan ASouthport, North Carolina1 contributionFun time for the familyShow was good, service very professional and courteous. Large serving of food which was pretty tasty considering that it isn’t the reason to go. I had a snack beforehand bc another review stated portions were small. But I forgot how obese a large percentage of the U.S. population is. For a normal person it is too much food to eat. Kids 8 and 10 had a great time cheering the knights. Overall a fun time and worth the $.We are thrilled you enjoyed the tournament. We look forward to seeing you soon and hope that every time you visit us it is a truly KNIGHT to remember!Written 31 March 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited March 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 March 2023

This past Saturday was my first visit. I purchased the Queen Royalty VIP. I took a picture with the Queen. The show was amazing, the jousting, the food, the horses dancing and the fighting. I couldn’t stop clapping and yelling. In the near future I need to return.Hello Your Grace, thank you for your feedback in regards to your recent visit to the castle. They were able create a good scene and even made people to play along, as if they were "disliking" other knights. Knights looked pretty good, and were able to show great skills at fighting. Well, there's a few things that I would want to point out. I've bought a sword. Metal sword. It looked great and realistic, but wasn't really durable. I was very interested with medieval ans ancient weapons, so I've tried a few moves with a sword. It took 1.5h, then it's blade started moving back and forth. It seems was not secured well enough. I didn't hit anything except for the air. Sword had only problems with durability. Visually they are great. In general, I can say that show itself and foods are well made. It was worth traveling there. Staff was giving the right mood, and performance of battles was great. Purchasing things at the store wasn't the experience I've expected. Maybe I just wasn't very lucky and picked the wrong sword, and the others are fine. This place is recommended. Definitely worth it.Thank you so much for your review, Govno! - Keith RRichmond, Virginia17 contributionsGreat time!We really enjoyed 'going back in time' when we experienced the dinner theater of Medieval Times. It is a unique experience that is difficult to find anywhere else. Think of a Rennesaince Fare, meets the theater, meets dinner. Jousting Knights, the King & Queen, falconry, sword fighting, and games of skill. The food was excellent, actually, much better than I anticipated. With a capacity of several hundred, it completely understandable that they have a fixed menu. Tomato soup & garlic bread, quarter roasted chicken, small corn on the cobb, and potatoes wedge. All food was served hot and delicious, juicy chicken, tasty soup. All of it was very good. Service is a little slow, but you aren't going anywhere. So, while it is a little slow, it is served at a good pace relative to the show. The biggest challenge was getting refills on drinks. Doesn't happen when you want. You are served your first round of drinks before anything, then again after the entree, and that's it. (Does not apply to bar drinks). This experience isn't cheap! $160/2 people (taxes, fees) and that was the cheapest seats they offer, General Admission. I understand why it is expensive, and I am not complaining about it as I understand what's involved to create this find of production of a dinner theater. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.Thank you so much for your review, Keith! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. - Aimee G4 contributionsWonderful Family ExperienceWe had a magical time going back to Medieval Times. The decor is always so fun to look at and the costumes of the actors are amazing. The food is good and you get large portions of everything. The chicken was very moist and delicious. You are really there for the show so the food in my opinion is a nice plus. Anyone thinking its a gourmet dinner is not going for the right reasons. I went with my children all in their 20's and they had a good time cheering for their knight and booing the others. I loved watching the talented horses and their riders. It is a unique show that isn't available in many places anymore. The condor flying around the arena was impressive as well. My only complaint was that I had some difficulty understanding some of the actors but I could understand enough to follow along. I also still wish they allowed you to dress up in costumes they provided for the group photos they take. Besides that we had an incredible experience that would be fun for all ages. Definitely recommend you experience it at least once.Thank you for your review, Aimee! We're glad to hear that you and your family had a magical time at Medieval Times. We appreciate your feedback on the decor, costumes, and food. We apologize for any difficulty you had understanding some of the actors, but we're glad you were still able to enjoy the show. We will share your suggestion about bringing back guests dressing up in costumes for group photos into consideration as we did about 5 or 6 years ago before Covid. Thank you for recommending us and we hope to see you again soon!Written 15 January 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 14 January 2024

What a great time by all. The show was absolutely amazing. The food was very good and cooked perfectly. Our server was fantastic and on point the whole time. We paid for the VIP area and were right down front where the horses and riders entered the arena. It was so worth the extra money for the VIP experience. The pictures we had taken came out perfect. A great all around experience and one we will forget.

Very expensive plus you have to upgrade to make it enjoyable. Then they charge a service fee for buying their product !?! Sound system was poor.

I've visited it with my family. I really liked the performance, looks and food.
Atmosphere was great. They were able create a good scene and even made people to play along, as if they were "disliking" other knights. Knights looked pretty good, and were able to show great skills at fighting.

No they aren't. You have to buy them out in the huge store outside the arena.

If you don't want to sit around and buy all the souvenir junk, don't go an hour early. My husband and I went without kids. We went about 20 mins early and still felt like we were just standing around for a long time.

The show is 2 hours long and the food is served throughout that time. The menu is pre determined, there's no utensils so you'll be eating with your hands. If you have little ones bring some napkins. Also be conservative on your drink. Going early will get you the best seats, plus there's a huge line to just pick up your tickets.

One reviewer mentioned that sitting across from the king and queen were very good seats. When I enter to find my seats how will I know where the kind and queen seats are? Can you recommend good seating?

Seating is assigned. You don't get to pick your seats. That being said, there's not a bad seat in the house.
