Mount Agamenticus is a local gem. Easy to get to. Well marked and well maintained trails. You can park at the base or drive to the top for stunning 360 degree views. Good for all ages and abilities.

My girlfriend and I visited Mt. Agamenticus this weekend and were completely blown away by the breathtaking view at the summit. The hike up the mountain is fairly short and the payoff exceeds all expectations. There are numerous spots to view the landscape and the...More

My wife and I had been told by locals that this was a lovely spot to get great views of foliage and a moderately easy hike. We found those things to be mostly true, but if the Town of Wells wants to offer this as...More

The top of Mt. Agamenticus has spectacular views of the ocean and the White Mountains in NH. The new accessibility Big A trail has wide crushed stone pathways for wheelchairs and strollers alike. About a two mile circle. Longer hiking trails for the more experienced...More

We drove up to Mt Agamenticus but hiking is possible. The view was quite lovely...to look in one direction and see the coast and another direction and see the mountains was really interesting. It appears that this area is still a "work in progress" and...More

No swimming spots on mountain. Many lakes, rivers and ocean near by. Most motels have pools.. Enjoy the mountain; then enjoy a swim.

Mt. Agamenticus is only 500 feet tall, so it isn't the largest mountain in the area. Mt. A is southwest of Kennebunkport and southwest of Ogunquit.
