You will see how the people who settled here in the 1870-90s, mostly Swedes, lived. It is worth a stop if this is something you are interested in.

Full of relics from Swedes who settled in northern Maine in the 1800s. There are family portraits of founding families, musical instruments, tools and kitchen utensils. Free admission. Open Saturdays 1 to 4 pm.

A great museum of local history. Currently undergoing some physical repairs, but still accessible and very interesting. Volunteers are busy continually organizing and categorizing the materials. Some photos have been put online
