We love the Marginal Way. It is our preferred route to town or Perkins Cove from our hotel. There are so many beach communities where you only catch an occasional glimpse of the ocean, but the Marginal Way offers spectacular views to all. There are...More

What I mean is that you should NOT miss it if you are ever in Ogunquit. It is one of the most quaint and picturesque ocean side walking trail. Starting on either end works, but my recommendation is to end in Perkin's Cove for a...More

Marginal way is stunning. To be prepared you have to realize you go up and down hills along the coast so wear good walking shoes. There are benches along the way so you can stop and rest or just take in the views. It can...More

Great walk along the ocean. You actually see happy friendly people who say hello as they walk past you. The flowers and benches to stop and take in the view. The kids found a hole to swim in because the tide was low and then...More

The Marginal Way offers a great, scenic walk along the shore in Ogunquit, one of the loveliest beach resorts in the Northeastern USA.

We visited here with our five kids and Wales along the path and onto the rocks. Very beautiful scenery! This is a must do if you are in Ogunquit. I highly recommend doing this. Great views of the ocean! Good way to burn off calories.

You can access Little Beach directly from Marginal Way. There are steps leading down and the beach has lifeguards during the summer months. Little Beach does not have restrooms or anywhere to purchase food...those can be... More

I would give it a 30 minute leisurely pace. The good news is there a benches along way and places to stop, rest and take in the views. When you reach Perkins Cove, grab an ice cream before heading back.

At the end of Marginal Way is Perkins Cove with several seafood restaurants and shops. As far as I know, they are all family friendly. Have fun!
