If you’re in Bangor, Maine and want a unique lunch stop at the Friars bakehouse on Central Street. It definitely has religious overtones but it’s run by the Friars right so this just adds to the feeling of getting your soul fed here. The rack...More

We were referred to Elmers from another shop and were told this would be a “picking” type shop. Well, they do have some good options for picking, but as others have said they really have a lot of just junk or yard sale type things...More

Always a great place to spend a few hours looking for photo props. Lots to see. I always find interesting items and great prices. Give yourself a few hours. Third floor is extremely hot in the summer months. Owner has really organized the place and...More

If you like to prowl through what seems like acres of antiques, junk and curious finds, Elmer's is for you. One of my favorites whenever we are in the area.

Too much filth to sift through. Once you get past that- u get to the floor of overpriced dealers and cheap jewelry. Skip it.

I have been going to Elmer's for the indoor "flea market", collectables, tools, furniture, doors, and odd things for 20+ years. I love rooting around in this funky old barn! Bring a sense of adventure when you visit.

It is always a blast seeing Ivana, and finding some great deals! This is a perfect place to spend a day, because there's so much history to learn about and everyone is so friendly! Definitely worth a visit! v

Take your time in Elmer's Barn or you miss the point as well as some good deals. Places like this are disappearing fast from Maine, particularly in the MidCoast; savor them while you still can.
