We spent about an hour or so at the summit of Camden Hills State Park at the amazing overlook above the bay. There are many hiking trails in the park, but today was very windy and cold. It is very much worth coming up to...More

The town of Camden and its harbor are very picturesque and the Camden Hills State Park and Mount Battie are extraordinarily beautiful; the views are unforgettable.

Excellent fall foliage. View from the top overlooking Camden was breathtaking. We arrived an hour and a half before closing --- foggy and overcast -- and paid the daily rate. Wish we could have presented our receipt the next morning just to see the park...More

My husband climbed to the top while I drove. Normally I would have hiked the easy hike as well, but had recently injured my foot. The views from two different lookouts were worth the small admission fee to the park. Hikers would enjoy the many...More

Great hill top park with commanding views of Camden and the harbor. Lots of great moderately challenging trails to hike on. We arrived on a great fall day and spent several hours in the woods. Delightful afternoon.

Yes. The grades are steep buy brief. There's plenty of parking at the summit and the road loops around to the exit.

The road to the summit of Mt. Battie is only 1.5 miles long. There are 25 miles of hiking trails in this 6,200 acre park.
