Great Park With Everything
Mar 2020
Heritage Park is a relatively large park and very "all purpose". It runs alongside Bayou Bonfouca for over 1/4 mile. Slidell Municipal Marina is at one end of the park with excellent launching facilities for those wishing to boat on Bayou Bonfouca. There is plenty of space for tying up boats along the waterside walkway and, at the other end of the park, facilities for longer term docking / storage of boats. About 15 - 20 vehicles with boat trailers can be parked in the lot adjoining the launch. There is a nice sized, fully gated playground area that is very well equipped with its own adjacent parking area. The main area of the park has a circular 1/6 mile paved walking trail through the center of it that passes by the gazebo and the Ronnie & Gardner Kole Stage at one end of the park. There is a paved walkway all along the Bayou Bonfouca edge of the park and numerous benches and sheltered picnic tables in the park. Nice bathroom setup on site, too!

love the fact they do a free concert Sunday afternoons
esp when the weather is nice always fun to relax and unwind before the start of a work week
clean park for kids and yet things for adults to enjoy outside of launching a boat

Park, water pads, peaceful

There are so many good things to talk about with Heritage Park. Walking path, pavilion, children's park with a separate water play area, boat launch, and BATHROOMS on site! There are also many great events that take place here as well, normally free or with such a nominal fee, I'd definitely recommend spending time here.

Lovely Park!
Dec 2018 • Friends
This park is located on Bayou Bonfouca and has a pavilion, a boat launch, paved sidewalks, a children's play area, picnic tables, benches and restrooms. It hosts the Heritage Fest in July and Bayou Christmas in December. Bayou Christmas is a free event with snowfall, music, Santa, food and craft vendors. It offers a great space to play, exercise and relax.
