The battlefield park is steeped in local history. I highly recommend visiting during the annual re-enactment of the battle. Lots of natural history to see and experience, and solid walking trails year round.

Don't expect much except wide open spaces and a paved walking trail. Excellent for less-than-experienced hikers. A place for the rest of us to get our exercise. Some historical markers, and an ancient graveyard. A relaxing stroll within view of the road, neighborhoods and golf...More

Go and listen carefully and you can still hear the sound of the cannons fired so very long ago and see the battle lines of those who fought for their cause.

I enjoyed the fact that history was preserved here. It's a nice walking trail with markers explaining the Battle of Richmond and what took place here. I wouldn't have seen the grave site if I hadn't noticed the path in the grass and wanted to...More

I always enjoy my visit to the Battle of Richmond Visitors Center. But this place is not the same as the visitors center up the road. The Battlefield Park is a county owned facility about a mile or two down the road. Even though I...More
