My wife and I were in KY to specifically find and taste bourbons and ryes from small craft distilleries. We've done the big ones and tasted but a lot of times you are just another person in the tasting room. We weren't sure if we...More

Some problems are truly insoluble. On the other hand, some issues present solutions so obvious that to not avail yourself of a quick, easy and fair outcome calls into question your judgment. Sadly, such was our recent experience at Three Boys Distillery. Long story short,...More

Small, start up place with it's own vibe. We learned a few things that we hadn't heard from the other places we toured. Thanks for a welcome change.

While not an official stop on the trail, this small distillery offered a unique opportunity to actually talk with the owner/master distiller and taste Bourbon straight from the barrel. High end Bourbon only sold on site.

We did the barrel tasting at the barn. The bourbon was so good that we left with a barrel strength bottle pulled straight from one of the barrels we sampled. The owner was a hoot!

This is a relatively new distillery on a farm. Staff was very helpful, and offer a tasting for a small fee. The spirits are good, but not as good as some others. The prices, I thought, were very high. It’s an interesting place to visit.

A very small batch distilling experience. The master distiller, Ross, clearly loves what he does and takes great care and pride in his craft. His bottled 98 proof is extremely smooth and he will fill a bottle directly from the cask of your chosing after...More

While I'm not the distiller, he seemed very flexible as long as you call ahead of time.
