Haven't used the train but visited the station recently, a real gem from the heyday of the railway. Lots of artefacts and good food and drink.

Run by volunteers. Everyone friendly. Nice day out. Lots to see. You can walk along the canal or visit the battlefield. Cannot endorse this enough. Interesting memorabilia. Nice day out but need to check times and open days.
