Not a mall at all!

This is a unique place, and reminded us of the Ruin Pubs you find in Hungary. Its like a hotel and an antique and collectibles museum all in one. It was awesome!

Interesting little spot- worth a stop over
Aug 2021
Quirky little spot, filled with trinkets and interesting pieces. We enjoyed exploring the property, only stayed one night. The only negative point was the shower, it had the worst shower head and the water pressure was barely there.

A kaalvoet down to earth lovely Karoo experience in the town of Williston. Comfortable neat accommodation and very friendly excentric hosts to make the visit a memorable experience. Don't forget to ask about the on site artist's beautiful paintings Lovely family portraits done on order.

Interesting spot in a small town

This place is actually private property and you need to make an appointment to enter. Closed on Sundays. don't mistake it for a real shopping mall though.

quite quite amazing
Sep 2019
This was an exploratory trip through the Karoo - it's deep dry Karoo. A friend introduced me to the owners - thank heavens! Which meant they were expecting me - an important detail as Elmarie and Pieter are busy. It's a working enterprise - they are in their studios or teaching or preparing for or entertaining guests. If you want to see them - give them a chance to adjust their schedules. Then you too can become an adoring guest - as did I. And what an amazing place to visit - I was completely infatuated with it. I couldn't get to stay there - sadly - as they were booked out on both of the two nights I needed a bed. But i got to hang out and drink coffee and see the garden. Difficult to recommend enough. Let them know in advance that you want to stop by. Support the Williston Mall! The shop has extraordinary treasures - buy them!

The Williston Mall is open. You have to arrange your visit a day before you arrive. So plan your trip properly and be sure not to miss this unique place, awesome hospitality and great fun! A must-see Karoo stop.

Williston Mall is part of Die Ark B&B and Doppies Bar. Very interesting place with a lot of character. The owners are super friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you. The owners support the surrounding area by selling their handmade items in their shop. We had a lovely time!

Fantastic Place!!!

This is the fourth year that I visit the Williston Mall and I can really recommend it. The place is decorated with very quirky items, lots of art, phrases, antiques, enamel and almost anything second hand that you can think of. The hosts (Pieter & Elmarie) is very friendly and warm. They are also very knowledgeable of the area and just great fun. Their creative minds can be seen all over the Mall. Then you also have the locals, my word, it must be one of the friendliest towns in the world.

A quirky and droll hideaway
Apr 2018 • Couples
You need to get here in the morning, as the owner has a long nap in the afternoons! Good coffee and / or drinks in the bar, and a remarkable local cheese that is like real English cheddar can be found in the ONE shop in the mall. Yes I'm afraid Clicks and Vodacom have yet to open up here. But don't despair - you don't need them. You just need a good sense of humour to enjoy this place.
