My husband and I visited St Bartholomew's Church, to visit the 'fake' grave of Charles Dickens character 'Little Nell', in the churchyard of the church. We also found a place with a fascinating history and some of the most wonderful marble tombs and medieval tombs...More

Went here on an organised tour, the guide was really knowledgeable about the history of the church, the family's that have owned it over the years, their attitudes to church worship, stories of the tombs etc. Almost too much information to absorb at one time...More

A great church, well worth the stop. Interesting tower, and location, but its crowning glory is the fine collection of tombs within the church. Extremely helpful printed guide tells you what to look for, and a bit about the characters. The alleged tomb of Little...More
