Though this is a smaller museum it has quite a few pieces on display. The tunnel and documents associated with Dalton gang are pretty interesting. Was well worth the 5 dollars. The guy that works in the gift shop is a history buff as well...More

Small but packed with interesting history to learn about. Surprised at how small the "hideout" house was. Also totally enjoyed learning about the rest of the Dalton siblings.

Passing through Meade on the way home. We decided to stop and go through this. It is a small but very interesting museum. I learned of some Oklahoma hometown connections that I never knew about until this visit. I don't consider myself a history buff,...More

Great stop for fans of the old West. Interesting museum and dog friendly. The tunnel has been modernized, but that is understandable. Good information on the Dalton family. The docent was super friendly and informative. Don't miss the two headed calf and the Albino raccoon...More

Buy tickets at the barn $5pp. The friendly docent gave us a brochure and gave us information about the complex. The complex encompasses the barn, a museum on the top floor of the barn, and a tunnel which you enter from the barn and walk...More

An interesting, authentic stop on an otherwise boring ride on hwy 54. The host was pleasant and informative. They did a good job of gathering old newspaper articles and documents. It is probably run by volunteers, but someone should do so e dusting!

You can almost feel the vibe of these notorious outlaws. Be sure to get a little of the history from the docent so your imagination can take over with your own summary of the events that might have led to the tunnel escapes!

There are several smaller independent motels that I have not stayed at but they look nice from road. However dodge city and liberal kansas both have lots of chain hotels. They are half hour 9n each side of Meade.
