A great half hour watching the boats entering and leaving the locks. Shame there was no shop serving drinks or ice cream, but Bunbury Mill is just up the road and that was lovely.

If you have 15 minutes to spare then watching narrow boats negotiate the 3 staircase locks is a pleasant way to use them. Keep little ones away from the edge! Buy an ice cream at the shop, pick up a brochure for a canal holiday...More

We stopped briefly having to see the wonder of a staircase set of canal locks. These are not a large set of locks but are wonderful to see. You can feel how different the pace of life is around the canal and it is fascinating...More

We were lucky enough to watch a boat using the staircase, marvellous how the whole thing works slowly lowering the boat down through the steps, very interesting and somewhat relaxing too set in lovely countryside, nice for a look if your in the area.

Wide beam staircase pair not actually in Bunbury, the village is a mile away. Each time we passed through the locks were manned by CRT staff and quite busy. There is an Anglo Welsh hire base below the bottom gates with a gift shop and...More

Our first Lock ever, it was no problem, easier to keep the boat straight if there are 2 boats in it.

I've walked along and over the staircase locks for over a decade. It's a great sight for the first timer who has never seen a canal lock before. If you go here, the time you'll spend here will last you 10 seconds unless you're on...More
