My husband and I visited Alpha Equestrian as a day activity for his birthday. We had the most incredible day. Alethea was a wonderful guide and made sure we enjoyed our ride and Colleen was a splendid host. We couldn't have asked for a better day!

The team at Alpha are experienced and very good with young children. My daughter has been riding with them since she was 5. Good overall knowledge and teaching of horses and reliable team.

We went for an one hour ride across the lovely farm with stunning views of Franschhoeck mountain range. The horses Jesse and Flicka were lovely and well trained. Even for beginners like us, they were easy to handle. The guide was extremely helpful and also recommended a few restaurants and vineyard to visit. We wish we had more time at this place!

This was a lovely activity to fit in with the full day of wine tastings.

There were also two lovely dogs, Chanel and Maya and two cute cats roaming through the area which added a nice vibe to the whole experience.

This almost 2 hour long horse ride on a Sunday in the winelands close to Paarl was an absolutely treat, to say the very least. The click-clocking of hooves merged with the rolling thunder. Occasional lightning tore up some stormy clouds that were rising over the mountains cradling the winelands in this area. What a unique experience.

Our horses were steady-footed, calm and gentle - even when we stopped to have a quick peek over the wall that separates the neighboring crocodile farm from this lemon tree heaven. We sighted many crocs from our saddles and our horses, Flicka and Goliath, were not fazed one bit by the eerie, dinosaur-like sounds that were escaping these large reptiles.

After the outride, we looked forward to a wine tasting at 'Glen Carlou'. Fresh air and tingling of palettes. The perfect way to spend a Sunday.

We would also like to thank Jason, our guide on this trip, for a lovely time spent. Dit was lekker! :)
