My friend and I had lunch at my favourite wine farm yesterday and it was amazing! We both had the double baked soufflé, sultanas and a hazelnut butter noisette! I had the sea bass variety of tomatoes fromage blanc , kataifi pastry and Sumer! Yummy! My friend chose the suger snap pea and lemon risottto, toasted macadamia nut, creme fraiche and asparagus!! This is a dish made in heaven!! Delicious!! The service was attentive but not intrusive. Our waiter Shane was a gem! This guy knows his wines!! All the wines were superb!! Baroness Nadine is my favourite and of course the Barron! The champagnes always take me back to the Rothschild champagne house in France!! I would like to thank Juliet and the fantastic team for an amazing experience!! Sublime cooking!! Love you guys and I will always come back with my friends!

High tea at Antony Rupert
Oct 2021
I was really looking forward to experience the high tea at Antony Rupert.
I've been somehow disappointed, as it was way too busy/crowded for me. I assume it was due to the bad weather, which obviously reduced the sitting space.
The service was good and the food selection as well. The tea selection was basic for a high tea and such a nice and famous place that Antonij Rupert is...

Very disappointing
Mar 2021 • Business
The guy didn't tell a lot details about anything and he seems very confused and arrogant .He didn't care about our request to buy an old vintage wine from them. He was very unprofessional, not worth the money. Very sad - because the wine is fantastic and high class .We didn’t enjoy the tasting at all.

Absolutely outstanding

An absolutely unbelievably delicious meal.
Exquisitely prepared.
Large portions, reasonably priced.
This is my new favourite place.
The Gnocchi, the squid.
The bouiliabaisse, the chalamar beef, Apple tarte, fudge ice cream.
The wine pairing, the Champagne beyond superb and to top it all a bouquet of flowers given to each person in the restaurant.

Just extra special.

Situated on the road to Franschoek it is a must stop if you enjoy good red wine. The setting and ambiance is amazing and staff most helpful. We did not eat there but the restaurant setting looked amazing as well. Definitely recommend a stop here. Great wines!

This beautiful wine farm produces great wines! Tasting is a must! Amazing experience not to be missed. The young man , Shane September, who assisted us was extremely talented. Very modest and polite. We ordered a cheese platter which was yummy!! Beautiful presented with the most fantastic cheeses and condiments!! Very special!! Big thank you to Shane and Grace for such a spiffing experience. Absolutely stupendous!! We will be back for lunch.

Intimate, professional wine-tasting by the glass
Nov 2019 • Friends
Went for a lovely Sunday afternoon wine-tasting of local and international wines. The champagne is really a showstopper, and the opportunity to compare Bordeaux-style red blends from around the world is fascinating. You pay per glass and we were pleased to discover that a taster size is a decent half-glass so decent value. In summer book in the garden for the lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Superb lunch and wines to match
Aug 2019
Venturing out to Stollenbosch and the Winelands region outside of Capetown is well worth the trip. And when it includes lunch at Rupert & Rothschild, it's unmissable! The winery is situated on a beautiful property, your usual vineyards, but somehow greener and lusher (at least compared to those in Central Coast California). The wine tasting/dining room is a shoutout to the best in Nordic design - refined woods, lighting fixtures, use of space. The same went for our lunch. Beautifully presented, exquisite in taste and accompanied by excellent R & R wines. I wish I could have brought some home, because access to these wines in the U.S. is limited. You won't regret a visit here - a visual and culinary treat!
