My wife and I visited this bookstore, and bought a book, on August 12, 2018. The young man behind the counter, Sean, I think, was cool. But the star was his puppy, Huckleberry. There's also a cute cat that lives there.

Nice river town with a downtown that has been preserved pretty well unlike many others that have been gentrified to death.

Great shops and restaurants and really good people watching. It's like going back in time as it is exactly like most small towns use to be like.

I remember it was a year or so ago that I noticed a number of vacant storefronts in the downtown area. This was exceedingly disappointing as I have always loved this small town. Today there seems to be more vibrancy and some newer businesses downtown....More

How can you not like the downtown area. Nice shops, taverns and restaurants. The archectiture is wonderful. A throwback in time. Kudos to the city for the preservation. Long live Madison!!!

Sorry, I’m not sure. We were downtown on Monday, of Memorial Weekend. Shops were open then. Maybe if you google the stores.

I am not sure if you can tour courthouse or not. We never asked. I took pictures of exterior. We were too busy enjoying other attractions.
