This was a treat to see such exceptional art that normally is not shown to the public because it is a private collection. The exhibit was of a very high caliber with works of art from Renoir, Van Gogh, Picasso to name a few. What...More

I travelled to Holland (from Hungary) in the first place to see the Impressionists and Beyond exhibition in the Singer Museum in Laren. It was well worth the trip, the exhibition was rich in masterpieces, well laid out (albeit somewhat unorthodox in the timeline). Among...More

Singer is not only a museum but also a theatre and it has recently been renovated. It is now an absolutely stunning building that would not be out of place in Amsterdam’s museum quarter but you would not expect something of this magnitude in the...More

I did not know of the existence of this beautiful jewel box of a museum. It was the collection of the owner of the American Singer sewing machine company. They loved Laren and the late 19th/early 20th century "second" Dutch school of painters so much...More

The museum and the annex theater were rebuilt and renovated. This makes the entrance and the entertainment such as coffee corner with good seating better than before. The art part is displayed in a tasteful manner and the exhibitions (such as now, Cuban artists) are...More

Just visited 'Desiree Dolron', but this exhibtion was a bit of a disappoitnment. I have seen better exhibitions in the singer museum; so better look out for something that is more apealing. Last year the classic modernists were much better.

Small exposition of photo's and some paintings selected by Dolron, i was not impressed by the size of the exhibition. Museum is nice but small and expensive.
