The recently expanded Children's Museum is another fantastic experience for the children of Central-Illinois. A good variety of hands-on exhibits with a recent addition of a heroes section. A great experience for children from very young to teen-agers.

The kids always love this place. I recommend watching your tots in the small kids area. There are two gates to keep them in, but they can climb out where the train engine is located.

We took our one year old grandson, he had so much fun. Shopping, the slides the air machine and so much more! We can't wait to go back. It was also a great winter activity.

Yes, there are plenty of tables in a cafe space on the second floor, although with the nice weather, you can also picnic outside.
