Really like it here - warm, friendly, and always good beers. Goose Eye Chinook always on cask - a truly excellent beer - and this weekend two beers from Phoenix in Heywood, the Porter was on top form. Not eaten here yet, but will do...More

I was mightily impressed by their offering several (six?) different vegan meals! In a pub! In a small, hilltop village in West Yorkshire! I was here early afternoon on a Wednesday in December, and since my last visit in February, the menu has expanded to...More

We were taken to this historic old pub as 'a treat' for a late lunch. The welcome could not have been more effusive. It was real good old-fashioned Yorkshire hospitality. However the food did not match the welcome. Deep fried camambert was cooked in fat...More

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome here an in many other pubs. There is a coffee shop down in Hebden Bridge, called "The Lamppost" which caters especially for dogs and their owners.
