The old building is worth going to, but every train I have ever taken left out of the newer eastern part. The signage is bad and they really seem to assume everyone has been there before. The front door is a little subtle and actually...More

The station has been getting better...it used to be so lovely, then became a dump and you hated to go there and wait for the train. If you aren't in business class or a sleeper car, the main terminal is now better than it used...More

The station was very clean, but not a lot of clear signage of where to go - unlike airports. The police presence helped ensure safety of the travelers. The staff working at the various restraurants were hard to glean support from.

Grand old station that leads one all over the USA. Make sure you have plenty of time to find your track and get there early to get to the font of the line.

The old West side waitng room brings bak the glory days of tain travel. The food court however reminds me of a typical shopping mall food court.

I had to take a train from Chicago to meet a friend in Naperville, I landed early and was glad, as it gave me a chance to look around the building. The Grand hall is huge with beautiful interiors and architecture

I was boarding an Amtrak heading west across America, and was pleased to see this historic landmark. Anytime you can walk through a train station from this era, you should. Beautiful architecture.

Visiting Chicago's Union Station is like going back in time to the golden age of railway travel. When I was there in September 2017, there was a small exhibit concerning Union Station in the movies. I enjoyed seeing the photo of Cary Grant and Eva...More

It is a train station that you see in so many movies and mentioned by all train riders. It was beautiful. It was also something that you just need to see quickly, nothing to do if you're not actually catching a train.
