They know how to move people through and there are lots of food and drink places in the lower level. KCG Union Station has great Bourbon Chicken.

Traveled to and from Chicago using this station, and while it was extremely busy, and very noisy in some places, there was always a place to sit down to rest if waiting for your train, and places to get something to eat if you're hungry.

Be aware that parking fees in downtown Chicago are outrageous, even on the weekends. I have paid $30 for just a few hours on the weekend. At those rates, an Uber may be cheaper. It all depends on where you are going... More
