Walking the river is such a neat experience. There is nothing like a downtown with a river. Well worth the time to check it out.

What a great initiative by the city of Chicago! Great for walking, biking, strollers, dog walkers, and even boaters. From end to end, there are wonderful river scapes to see like the bridges, buildings across the river, floating garden, fountains, art installations, and various bars,...More

Lots of things to see from Navy Pier to North Point. Many of the tall buildings are right on the River. Many of the best hotels and restaurants close by the river.

The Chicago River is impressive with huge buildings lining it. The Riverwalk is a nice way to see it. My only complaint is that there are not enough wheelchair accessible entrances to it, you have to backtrack a lot.

The river walk is a great area to walk or go for a run. The views along the river are great! Some nice cafe’s to stop for a bite or drink.

Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of

There are only a very few restaurants on the walk itself. 1 is dog friendly. If you are asking about places "near" the river walk there are a few more. Do an online search for dog friendly dining guide.

First, the River Walk is not a Tour and yes, there are ramps for accessibility.
