During the seasons the fountain is running, it's a great backdrop for some fantastic photos. Best time to go is EARLY to minimize the amount of tourists in your pics and truly enjoy the beauty of the fountain.

This Beautiful fountain has the style of ancient fountains you see in Europe. It is impressively big laying down in a quiet spot at the Grant park. It has several sculptures who shoot water repeatedly. Fantastic to take photos. For romantic guys it's a must.

The fountain is really impressive. The park it can be found in is very pretty! The fountain is also right next to the lake shore, which is a nice view to have.

We stopped here during our walk from Millennium Park to the field museum. Very photogenic spot. The fountain was impressive to watch and nice break in our walk.

The fountain is beautiful. The area is very relaxing. We went on a fall Friday, so while the weather was great the crowd was low. Able to sit on a park bench and just take in view and relax.

I love the sound of pounding water from this fountain spraying in all directions. Clearly visible from the street but find a way to pull off and walk around with someone special.

Beautiful fountain. We saw it at its best as the park was quiet and the sun was shining. Take a picnic and take in the beauty of the surroundings

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of

The fountain operates mid-April through mid-October from 8 am-11 pm, so it kind of depends on when, in October, you will be visiting.

If you travel in the warmer months, it's a must do on the list though not sure if it will be open in cooler climate as I visited in early Sept!
