The first time we saw the fountain was during the winter time when there was no water so we wanted to come back to see it with water. The difference was jaw dropping. So glad we made the effort to go back to see it....More

Buckingham Fountain is a fantastic fountain on par with some of the best in the world and is truly beautiful. There is a show every hour on the hour, however this isn’t that interesting and is not worth waiting a long time for.

I went by bike and stood the watching the movement of the water with the famous buildings on the back.

I wish I could have seen the full exhibit but it is a lovely fountain and I'd love to stop and sit next time I'm in town.

Very pretty to see while it is in its full show and even pretty while it is not. Great photo opp with the city in the background. The water will spray you when the full show is going on!

For an answer that is solid, I would call the Public works Department. They can tell you when the water is turned off to prevent pipes from freezing. "cityofchicago" "." "org"
