Go to the Buckingham Fountain to see the biggest fountain that I've seen in person—it's huge and wondrous, and perhaps a bit wasteful, but nevertheless beautiful.

This is well worth the stop. The spray will cool you down and it truly is a magnificent fountain. Don’t forget to check out the rose garden while you’re there.

Buckingham fountain is a walking distance from Millennium Park right across from the Art Institute. It is huge and there are plenty of benches around for you to sit and enjoy the water. There is a small eatery and restrooms in the area.
