Not knowing where to book a friend said anywhere in the 'loop'. Come to find out that it is in the heart of the city. Not a far distance to walk for a show, to eat, to drink, or even get to the Planetarium/Soldier field

This area of the city is great for tourists. There is lots of shops, restaurants and city attractions here. It is great for walking no so much by car. You will need to park in a garage and walk/bus/cab around the area. You can find...More

Elevated train in the heart of Downtown Chicago. Cool to see and ride on, if that is your thing. Whenever I see or hear it, it simply reminds me of the countless movies I have seen with it playing a supporting role. Quintessential Chicago.

This is the business district of Chicago. You can't miss it. Many skyscrapers around. Just walk around and start to get to know the city.

I find it impossible to visit Chicago and not at some point be in The Loop, the city's huge Downtown. Dominated by skyscrapers, this commercial area also holds attractions that keep bringing me back, such as the Art Institute of Chicago with its world-class paintings...More

We decided to ride the loop to experience the city from a different angle. We had a little trouble figuring out how to get a ticket but there was an agent who helped us.

Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of
