Chicago's breath-taking National Landmark Theatre hosts concerts, comedians, theatrical productions and special events every year. The 3,600 seat auditorium is seven stories high, and the vertical "C-H-I-C-A-G-O," sign is one of the few such signs in existence today. A symbol of State Street and Chicago, the marquee is a landmark in itself, as is the Wurlitzer pipe organ. Patrons can also go behind-the-scenes on their educational venue tour, which runs a few times a week.

The Chicago Theater marquee is iconic and a must-do picture spot, especially with the name of a favorite personality in lights. On entry, the security was thorough, and the ticket checking was quick. The venue was a bit of a maze to find bathrooms and...More

I took the 12:00pm tour that takes place every day at the Chicago Theatre. I have lived in the area my whole life and have only been to that theatre twice and don't really remember it. The tour is inexpensive and only about an hour....More

First time back to this venue in a longtime. Really enjoyed Cedric the entertainer. Architecture is beautiful inside. Sitting a little tight and cramped. But other than that, good place to enjoy comedy, or a play. One of Chicago best and historic theater's!!!

This classic theater that has hosted many noteworthy performances over the years still provides an intimate setting. Main floor seating has good sight lines. Saw Brit Floyd and the sound quality was excellent.

My wife and I attended a rock concert here, and I have to divide the review into two sections. First entry into the theater was an absolute atrocity. 35 minutes before the show started, there was a large crowd converging on the entrance from all...More

What a fantastic trip and a tour guide! The young lady was very knowledgeable and engaging. Amazed we went to so many different areas of the theatre and it has to be seen to be believed – so extravagant and for the ordinary person of...More

Great venues, want to see Noel Gallagher and the flying birds. The boxes are excellent seats and a booth area. Bars reasonably priced. $12 for two beers. The theatre is also located in walking distance from a lot of hotels.
