There is a very good collection of Impressionists. Don't miss the original "American Gothic" and "Nighthawks", either

Amazingly broad collection. Love using the app but beware it didn't work with android. If you love art plan lots of time.

Like many large museums, it's difficult to see everything in one visit. We only had a couple of hours, so we focused on a permanent exhibit called The Thorne Miniature Rooms. I can't say enough nice things about this exhibit. If you've ever had a...More

Marvelled by the display and the history behind the artists. Though I'm not an arts person, i still enjoyed this place a lot.

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a

shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep

I would also suggest you get the headset where you punch in a number and your hear a fuller explanation about the art work. It cost $7. Highly recommended.
