This self-guided display and interpretation was incredible. Very interesting, and go at your own pace. A lot of devotion has gone into this exhibit by people who know their stuff. Great examples and display of equipment, with explanations that helped me understand mining, transport and ore processing better than I ever have in all my prior exposure combined.

Well done center with a cute and well maintained park.

We had researched for a place for our picnic lunch that would fit our travel schedule, and the Wallace Welcome Center fit the bill. Very convenient off and on I-90, and there is a gas station close by. Picnic tables and rest rooms, as well as museum and historic rail display. Recommended if you need a break from driving, or if you want to spend more time looking at the displays.

This is a great stop. So many great displays of old equipment ,green grass ,restrooms . Free. Plenty of parking.
The displays here are quit elaborate and set up in really neat ways. This is pretty much an open air museum .Even if you have no plans to stay in Wallace drop off and see this .

You must stop here first before you go into the city. Dave was a wealth of information and the lady working was so helpful. We got suggestions of places to visit and see. Learned a lot about Wallace here.

We really enjoyed Wallace. Every building downtown is on the national historic registry. Where else will you go d that? The people are friendly. There is a feeling of a slower and laid back pace.

What a pleasant surprise and learn so much about the mining history of this area. One of the best musuems I have toured and the director also took time to help me with some Genealogy of my family that had lived in the area in the 20's and 30's. She went out of her way to be hellful as well as being very knowledgeable

We stopped here coming to & from our drive to Montana as a great place with restrooms to run the kids off while driving a long distance! There is no sun protection so on a warm day it’s hot, but we loved the option to enjoy a wide open area with fun trains & trucks to look at!
